Earthquake24 aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA for core map, list, filter, safety, privacy and legal functions.
The service includes:
- Keyboard-operable controls.
- Visible focus states.
- A text list equivalent to map markers.
- Reduced-motion support.
- Non-colour status cues.
- Readable contrast.
- Responsive text and 200 percent zoom support.
- Correct language and right-to-left direction.
- Screen-reader labels for magnitude, depth, time and source status.
If the map is unavailable, the event list remains usable.
