Terms of Use
Terms governing use of the Earthquake24 information service.

These terms govern use of earthquake24.net, operated by ZENIT GROUP S.A.S..
1. Informational purpose
Earthquake24 provides automated, source-attributed earthquake, volcano and map information for general informational purposes. The service is not a government agency, geological authority, official warning center or emergency-response service.
2. No prediction or official warning
Earthquake24 does not predict earthquakes. It does not provide earthquake early warnings, official tsunami warnings, evacuation orders or official volcano safety instructions.
Reported events may be automatic, preliminary, delayed, revised, reclassified or removed by the source.
3. Safety-critical use prohibited
Do not use Earthquake24 as the sole basis for:
- Emergency response or evacuation.
- Aviation or maritime navigation.
- Tsunami safety decisions.
- Medical or rescue decisions.
- Structural engineering.
- Critical infrastructure.
- Insurance underwriting or claims.
- Investment or commercial safety decisions.
- Any decision in which incorrect, delayed or incomplete information could cause injury, loss of life or serious damage.
Earthquake24 provides no emergency or safety instructions.
4. Map and marker meaning
Event symbols show approximate reported epicenters or source locations. Symbol size represents magnitude or source status only. It is not a measured shaking, damage, ash, evacuation or hazard radius.
Boundaries, place names and map labels are presented for navigation and do not express a position on legal status, sovereignty or boundaries.
5. Third-party services and links
Data, map tiles, official pages and external search links are supplied by third parties. ZENIT GROUP S.A.S. does not control their availability, accuracy, terms, privacy practices or content. A link or attribution does not imply endorsement, partnership or official status.
6. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Interfere with or overload the service.
- Bypass technical controls or rate limits.
- Access non-public administration routes.
- Inject malicious content.
- Misrepresent Earthquake24 as an official authority.
- Remove required attribution.
- Use Earthquake24 data to create false warnings or deceptive safety claims.
- Scrape or republish content in violation of source terms or applicable law.
7. Availability and changes
The service, design, data sources, update intervals and features may change or be suspended. We may display stale but clearly labelled data when a source is unavailable.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without a guarantee of continuous availability, completeness, accuracy, timeliness, fitness for a particular purpose or absence of error.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZENIT GROUP S.A.S. is not liable for losses arising from reliance on reported events, missing or revised data, map interpretation, source outages, external links, third-party services or use in a prohibited safety-critical context.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability, consumer rights or data-protection rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
9. Governing law
These terms are generally governed by Colombian law and disputes are submitted to the ordinary courts of Cali, Valle del Cauca, without removing mandatory consumer, privacy or jurisdictional rights that apply where the user lives.
