Privacy Policy

How Earthquake24 handles technical, preference, location and contact information.

Last updated: 11 August 2026

ZENIT GROUP S.A.S. operates Earthquake24 and is the primary controller of the first-party personal data described in this policy.

1. Privacy-first launch configuration

Earthquake24 is designed to work without ordinary user accounts. In the initial release:

  • We do not create a personal history of earthquake or volcano searches.
  • We do not store exact browser geolocation on our servers.
  • We do not operate first-party behavioural advertising.
  • Google Analytics and advertising are disabled.
  • Language, theme and interface preferences are stored locally in your browser.
  • Contact is handled through email rather than a server-side contact database.

2. Technical delivery and security data

When you access the website, infrastructure providers may process normal network information such as IP address, request time, requested resource, browser information and security signals. ZENIT GROUP S.A.S. minimizes logs and does not intentionally retain full raw IP addresses in long-term application databases.

Cloudflare provides DNS, content delivery, security, static hosting, scheduled processing and data-object delivery. Cloudflare may process network information under its own infrastructure terms and the applicable agreement with ZENIT GROUP S.A.S..

3. Map provider

The interactive map uses MapLibre in your browser and may request map tiles directly from OpenFreeMap. The map provider receives the network request and the tile coordinates needed to deliver the viewed map area. If you recenter the map on your location, the requested map area may reveal an approximate area to the map provider even though Earthquake24 does not store your exact coordinates.

4. Use my location

“Use my location” runs only after your action and browser permission. Exact coordinates are used transiently in your browser to recenter the map. They are not intentionally sent to or stored by ZENIT GROUP S.A.S.. The browser or device provider controls the permission interface.

5. Local storage

Earthquake24 may store language, theme, reduced-motion preference, map/list mode and selected filters in localStorage. These settings remain in your browser and are not used to create a cross-domain advertising profile.

6. Contact data

If you email us, we process the sender address, message and any information you provide in order to respond, protect our legal interests and document the request. Contact messages are normally deleted or anonymized within 12 months after the matter is closed, unless a longer period is required by law or a documented dispute.

7. Advertising and analytics

Advertising and non-essential analytics are disabled at launch. They will not be enabled until the required account, consent-management, legal-basis, vendor and international-transfer reviews are complete.

Where opt-in is required, advertising and analytics will remain disabled before consent. A permanent privacy or cookie-settings control will allow consent to be changed. Global Privacy Control signals will be respected where applicable.

8. Data recipients and international processing

Current and planned infrastructure providers are listed on the Data Sources and Privacy pages. Providers may process data in multiple countries under applicable agreements and safeguards. The exact Cloudflare contracting entity and transfer mechanism must be verified before monetized production.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, request portability, opt out of sale or sharing, or complain to a supervisory authority.

Send requests to info@zenitgroup.com.co with “Earthquake24 Privacy Request” in the subject line. We may request proportionate information to verify the request. Do not send identity documents by ordinary email unless specifically requested through a secure process.

10. Children

Earthquake24 is not directed to children. The general minimum-age policy is 16. We do not knowingly use behavioural advertising to target children.
