Data Sources and Attribution
The approved earthquake, volcano and map sources used by Earthquake24.
Earthquake24 displays only source products that have passed a product-specific licence, attribution, schema and reliability review.
Earthquakes
Primary source: U.S. Geological Survey Earthquake Hazards Program — GeoJSON Summary Feeds.
Displayed fields can include magnitude, place, event time, updated time, coordinates, depth, felt reports, intensity, PAGER alert, tsunami flag, significance, type and review status.
Source of earthquake data: U.S. Geological Survey.
USGS-authored data are generally U.S. public-domain information, but third-party images or materials on USGS websites may have separate rights. Earthquake24 uses data fields and source links, not USGS logos or unrelated third-party media. USGS does not endorse Earthquake24.
U.S. volcano notices
Production source: U.S. Geological Survey HANS activity notices for U.S.-focused observatories. The source history window is at most seven days. A notice does not confirm that an eruption is occurring, and coverage is not globally complete. The exact source and notice time are shown.

Sources not used in commercial production
Earthquake24 does not ingest, cache or display GDACS events in production. The GDACS adapter remains disabled pending product-specific endpoint, schema, legal and redistribution review.
Smithsonian Global Volcanism Program data are not used in commercial production unless prior written commercial permission has been obtained.
Google News RSS is not used as an automated data source.
